Tooligan operates this website (the “Service”) and provides a collection of free, browser-based tools. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

Log data

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically collects standard log data when you visit the Service. This may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, time spent on those pages, and similar diagnostic information. We use this data to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

Cookies and similar storage

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and certain third parties (see below) use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure how the Service is used, and serve advertising. You can accept or refuse cookies through your browser settings; refusing them may limit some functionality.

Several tools also use your browser’s localStorage to remember your preferences and in-progress drafts on your device only — for example, unit converter settings and invoice, receipt, and quote drafts. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics collects information such as your device, browser, approximate location, referrer, and pages viewed. We use this data in aggregate to improve the Service. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

We allow third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense, to serve ads on the Service. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect non-personally identifiable information (such as click-stream data, browser type, time and date, and the subject of advertisements clicked or viewed) during your visits to this and other websites. Tool inputs

Every tool currently shipped on Tooligan runs entirely in your browser. The text, numbers, files, and other data you enter into a tool are processed locally on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers.

How we use information

To operate, maintain, and secure the Service.
To analyze usage in aggregate so we can improve existing tools and build new ones.
To serve advertising that helps fund the Service.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except as described in this policy: log data is processed by our hosting provider; analytics data is processed by Google Analytics; advertising data is processed by Google AdSense and other ad partners. Each of these providers handles data according to its own privacy policy.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information transmitted to and from the Service. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Clear your browser’s localStorage for Tooligan to remove any tool preferences or drafts saved on your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available from the link in the site footer, and changes take effect once posted on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Please review this page periodically.
